Need opinions on my tune
Need opinions on my tune I've had my car tuned after a cam install. It surged bad from 1000 to 2000 under light throttle. Then I installed dual exhaust and got Fuel trim lean SES code and it has started to sputter under low rpm/heavy throttle. My tuner checked the VE tables and found them to be completly different from other year model cars, '98 and '02 to be exact. My tables were much leaner so he flashed in the '02 table and it made a big differance in driveability and helped the surging a lot but it still sputters when lugged. What should I do next? If I need custom tables should I wait untill I swap heads and do it all at once? Also, my stock injectors are maxed out now and the motor wants more fuel so with heads added on what size/brand should I go with. I've been looking at Lucas/Delphi 42lbs. Would these be too much for a H/C car or a safe choice. I have stock 26 lbs now.
You should be fine with them, but you will need a retune immediately upon installation, otherwise it will run far too rich.
