LS1 Edit Question! (a real one!) When you turn off certain things, such as the rear O2's, the EGR, and AIR systems in the PCM all you are really doing is making the SES light stay off... The car still wouldn't pass the computer emission testing would it? Is there any way to actually delete these items from the PCM so that the car would pass this test?

The emissions testing checks to see if certian IM240 cycles have been "met" - to meet these cycles require a certain amount of time since the last reset, as well as requiring certain items to be operational/not disabled. Additionally they can "simulate" trouble to detect if a code has been disabled (if the light doesn't come on).
Most of this depends on if you are in an emissions non-attainment county or not - if you are then you could run into problems, though realistically here in texas has been otherwise (towards the lax side). If you are in aren't then it's still just a visual inspection.
