slow HPT orders ?

I PayPal'ed and emailed an order to HPT sales Friday at 7am for a 1bar MAf enhanced OS upgrade for my serial EIO cable, still waiting to hear anything back...

It's been 48 hours (per their site instructions) not counting the weekend... Is there some kind of hold up that anyone knows of ?

I think they are in the process of implementing a new payment system so that all of this stuff will be fully automated...have you asked on the HPT website?

Yeah I just posted there too.

I hate to seem impatient but there's a long story here...

This is the SECOND upgrade I've had to buy since the shop that did my 4L80E swap sent my tune off to HPT for the '80 trans tables, charged me for the HPT license and then installed it on their MVPI cable to flash the tune.

My HPT serial EIO cable setup is not licensed for 1bar MAF enhanced OS so now I'm waiting for HPT sales to process my order so I can even tune my own car again.

Sheesh. Not thier fault exactly, but what a PITA.

they are always slow, no matter what anyone says.
Great product, but not very responsive to sales issues.

Their support is VERY responsive however.

Yeah, I've had great luck with support - except with asking them about why sales hasn't processed my order yet.

Order is now processed, downloading now - they must just be running a little behind and must have seen my post asking about it.

Serial users upgrading operating systems takes much longer then a simple credit order. Because serial users the custom os needs to be added to the software a new update needs to be individually compiled, add the weekend in the mix and 2 business day turn around isn't out of the question. Thankfully usb users don't have to struggle with custom operating system enhancements since the end user simply applies them & goes, no need to send off a file to sales, no waiting on echecks to clear, etc.

We strive to get all orders & support issues processed as quickly as possible, but adding in software updates & compiles it can take a bit longer.

We do thank you for your patience in this matter.
