Default TSP tuning prob...

Ok I went all the way to Texas to get a dyno tune and at the time it was running good.. but I ended up ordering a SLP maf bc I startes throwing SES codes for it once I got the car home.

I've sent them an email with a dide along scan and they said it was loading up on fule at idle.. I was hoping for a file to be sent back to me maybe to fix it.. nothing yet and I haven't been able to get ahold of them so I'm hoping someone from TSP will get on here and maybe we can figure something out...

I'm not in any way bashing TSP I think there a great company but My car isn't running righ and I almost got into a wreck today bc as I was pulling out on to a main road my car started dying on me and there was a lot of cars comming lol... I about **** myself I thought I was going to get my *** smashed..

Do you have a way to read codes? If not, you should be able to get them checked at Autozone I think. I'd bet it's your stock o2s. Car goes into open loop and the computer is commanding it super fat.

I have a friend tha has the same hp tuner that TSP uses.

I have new 02's there working great.

My ses light isn't on anymore now that the SLP maf is in. but its running really rich at idle sometimes so bad that my car will try to die on me from getting flooded by all the extra fuel

What MAF did you have before. You need the maf table rescaled more then likely.

I just had a stock one but it was messing up really bad..

Yeah I think that too but I was hoping TSP could look at the files I sent them and mess with it a lil... send me a file back and I could see how it works.. I really dont want to have to go to another dyno and spend all the money but it looks like I'm going to have to..

you already had an issue and then you put a different MAF on a car you just had tuned... not the best order of steps.

You prolly have a code for too lean but in the real world it's waaaaay rich because your O2s are not swining high at idle. Why change the MAF, especially after having the car tuned on a stock one.

lets see... my car was running like ****.. I whent and had it tuned trying to get everything worked out... put new 02's and TPS in got the car home and the STOCK MAF whent to **** ... so I HAD TO get a new one.... I cant leave a fucked up MAF in my car... it's not like I wanted to do it that way...

I've had only one code for running lean.. and yeah it was bc its running to rich.. like I said it's not throwing any codes right now... it's weird.. but I put new 02's in so if the car was still running to rich with the stock MAF then why shouldn't I have changed it??

I was asking how do you know the stock MAF was bad? It has nothing to do with your fueling issue at idle and ruins the tune that you had done to the car. Why not just buy a used stock MAF or borrow one from a friend, that's what your tune is based on.

What is your fuel pressure looking like?

I was having issues with mine also, I didnt believe it was a bad sensor like the pcm was thinking, I found I had a very dirty/gummed up IAC motor. I took the Throttle body off and cleand all the crap out of it.

All of my friends have 99 f bodys.. mines an 01 so I cant swap them.. the stock MAF is $$$ thats why I went with the SLP one..

My fuel pressure is fine though.

Yeah I cleaned the TB and the MAF didnt help me any..
