Thumbs up Applying & Using HP Tuners Real Time Tuning Custom Operating Systems

I put together a demo showing just how easy it is to not only get up and running using our RTT system utilizing the stock pcm but also just how easy it is to use the system itself within VCM Suite Scanner.

Basically it runs you through
Reading the VCM
Applying the RTT Custom Operating System
Writing the new Custom Operating System to your STOCK PCM
And finally Using the VCM Scanner to edit tables in real time

http://www.thetuningdoctor.com/HPTun...stomsized.html

I've also updated our Tuning Links thread with a dozen+ new demo's I put together recently

https://ls1tech.com/forums/pcm-diagnostics-tuning/503989-hptuners-tuning-links.html

Enjoy!

Usually nothing to purchase, once you apply it & go to write it to the pcm it will ask you to license the custom OS(1 or 2 credits) but since the MPVI interfaces come with 8 credits most customers still have a bunch left to use at any time

You're missin out. I dont use it for everything, but for the more radical cam cars, its a time saver.

For dyno tuning/street tune bolt on cars still using MAF the MAF enhanced custom OS's can be a real time saver as well since more than likely you'd only need to use the MAF mode which allows you to tune the maf table, main spark table, PE & VE table all in one shot.

Not only could you optimize for fueling via maf/ve you could dial in your spark table for the most power

Yeah, I agree, but with the milder cars, I usually dont have to make the amount of changes, and a couple copy/paste specials and most of thats stuff is pretty close.
But overall, you're right, its a big time saver.

Last I heard was that w/the 98 PCMs there's not enough free memory to support RTT

Those links in the first post are dead. Did anyone save them or know if there is a new host?

Thanks!

I too am getting ready to likely buy hp tuners, in large part due to the RTT feature. I have a quick question about it. My car is an sd tune, 2 or 3 bar, for the life of me I can't remember right now. I think I understand that I will need to use 6 credits for my car type, so I will also need to use 1 to 2 credits for the RTT feature? I have another plain almost stock ls car so it looks like I would need to buy additional credits as I will likely max out the 8 it comes with as standard on my forced induction ls?

I want to tune the every day driving areas while I drive and leave the critical wot stuff to the pros on a Dyno. I think doing the RTT during normal driving should really be able to fine tune real world low throttle driving that would take a tuner a significant time to perfect, correct?

Only 4 credits per PCM, it enables tuning with 2-3 bar custom OS and RTT (if available for your OS).
2 credits to unlock the PCM
2 more credits for the OS enhancement, it includes 2 or 3 BAR support AND Real time tunig.
RTT is not available to every OS, You need to check if yours is supported before you spend the credits.
