Just get that base tune done. Get some scanning equipment. Do tons of logging. Ask before doing. If you do something make it small.
And READ READ READ!
Finally, never ever change more than one thing from one test to the next. Don't get hasty. Everyone thinks they can do that but it hurts more than it helps!
I did datalogging with my GN for years before I ever thought about making my own tunes. Think it was called direct scan? I just sent people files and told them what was wrong and asked what they changed. and I had a chip burner too. It was fun to make pacman different colours though
You managed not to see or read the giant "READ ME FIRST" thread at the top of this forum.
Or, having seen it, decided it would be better to post an "I'm ignorant" thread than to invest time reading it for yourself.
