Hey guys,
My girlfriends truck (01 4.3 silverado auto) has been kicking codes about both cats having low efficiency since we started getting ethanol blended fuels at all the stations around here. its up for emissions, and i want to put a set of o2 sims in it to get it by. Are the o2s the same as in any other gm for that year? Woud o2 sims for an 01 SS camaro work?

well since no one knew, i went ahead and jacked her up and checked myself. Her truck has the square 4 wire connector with one alignment pin inside.

why dont you just run 87 gas in it for a tank or two before you go have it tested? either way im not 100% sure about the o2's because of the cylinder difference...test it out and see if it throws a code and if not then take it to get it tested

if it has less than 80,000 miles on it, take it to gm dealer and make it thier problem, since the cats normally fall under 8/80 federal emissions warranty.
