how much knock is to much??
i've tuned my car with the handheld predator....great handheld. I was just wondering how much is to much knock retard before i go advancing the timing. As of now i have no knock but i want to get the most out of the predator.

If you can, play with timing at the track or on the dyno, as often (especially on stock LS1s) just because it takes more timing, does not mean it is making more power, or running any better. Kep in mind that those tunes in the Predator are developed over a period of time on the dyno and the street to provide max performance on stock motors. It may or may not respond to increasing the timing any further.
As for KR, you want none.

Yes, you want none, spark knock means you have gone
past peak torque by several degrees at least. Though
you have to distinguish between knock that is just hanging
on, from some previous "event" (like throttle mash, air
before fuel catches up), knock that happens because the
horsepower gods hate you (bad sensors, valvetrain noise,
exhaust banging) and knock that is showing you a steady-
state misfueling or overadvance. Starting from none is good.
If you're any kind of close to best timing then minor changes
will yield you nothing. Fuel probably matters more; that's
factory-whack at WOT. I'd leave spark for last because any
fuel messing will definitely change what the motor wants and
what it will tolerate (ping / KR telling you only the latter).
