Can anyone verify that you can pull and look over your tune with just the scanner and the free trial of EFI Live???
maybe if it comes with a free interface and cable too

I spent all day detailing the paint and finally got out for a test drive. It ran great forabout 8 miles (10 minutes of warmup first) and then started in again. I stopped and revved it to settle it down to normal idle and then unplugged the IAC. It ran normal with the IAC unplugged. I did this a few times to verify repeatability and it is defeintely the IAC driving the idle up...now the question is, is the IAC the bad actor or is there a parameter that is causing the PCM to drive the IAC??? I should know real soon. I'm going to order the scanner in the next few days.

It will be interesting to find out. I think I can order the scanner tomorrow. Can't wait to log some data. There's some big storms coming tomorrow so the car is locked up in the shop with the cover on now. Maybe by next week we'll hove our gremlin figured out?

Today was cleaning day:

This is a long shot but check your traction control cables if you have them. If they are too taught or loose it may lead to sticking cables.

I'm having a similar issue. After installing an LS6 intake and ported TB the RPMs would act up. I eliminated TCS with a single cable coming from the gas pedal. The idle will hang at like 1500rpms and then drop to 900-1000 at a red light with clutch disengaged.

I am getting my tranny rebuilt, new clutch, new slave soon. I also plan on getting HPTuners so I can tune this car like my Camaro. I will also check for vac leaks or faulty sensors.

Good luck
Andy

I didn't go through all the posts, but to me, it sounds like you need to relearn the throttle position on that computer. Put it back in and see wha the throttle reads with the key on. If it is anything but 0, you need to relearn it. There is a post on here somewhere on how to do that.

TPS is 0.

EFI Live Scan only is $250. Full tune version is $500.

the scanner will just frustrate you once you get to using it. You will realize that there are things that need to be changed, but you won't be able to.

I will have to send it back to Jesse for the changes until I buy the V2, but I have the lifetime support with my tune I purchased and in a few months I'll be able to buy the V2.

So, it will likely be frustrating waiting for the UPS truck, but that sure beats being blind to my motor.

I need some cold dry days to replicate the problem. The roads are wet and temps are 30F-45F for now.

The datalogging of the V1 is great. With on a few runs and while on the steep slope of the learning curve I've already found great info. (injector DC 82%@107mph WOT.)

Tuning is like Asimov's famous quote on science, "Science [insert "tuning"] is always wrong. The trick is to be less wrong today than we were yesterday."

Now in EFI Live
I can't beleive it. I just got through saying how great the car has been running. I head out to run some errands, hook up the Flashscan to gather some O2 data and then it goes into high idle again. Well this is the whole reason I bought EFI Live so I swap PID files and go to my IAC file which of course has all of the IAC PIDs on plus RPM, TP and a few others. It seems that the high idle is triggered from the AC, but not always.

Here's a couple log files. #14 has all of he vacuum ports on the front end of the motor plugged off.

and this was 0MPH inside my shop. Again with the vacuum ports blocked off.
When I turn the AAC off it will hunt around and then settle back down to normal idle. Sometimes it really hunts around first.

I created a dashpage with RPM and TP on the same chart...looks pretty interesting.
