The value of my wait4Me tune and EFILive
I checked around and locally I was looking at $500-$700 for a dyno tune. TSP has their mail order tunes for ~$300 (I don't remember the exact price) and others are in the same range.
I bought an entire PCM pre tuned from wait4Me for $157 and it so far runs pretty close. I had an issue with IAC when the air temps drop below 18*F. I don't know if it's a tuning issue or a mechanical issue such as a vacuum leak, TPS or IAC issue?
A few years ago I bought a Diablo Sport Predator for ~$350 and it is all but worthless as it has no data logging at all and very limited tuning.
So I paid $157 for my tuned PCM with lifetime support and $250 for the V1 which gives me a high resolution window into the engine parameters and an upgrade path that will allow me to tune any foreseeable mods I may plan.
I'd say it's a pretty darn good deal when compared the options.
