Default Mail order tune for H/C Ls1

I am going to get a mail order tune and then have a local guy teak it on the dyno. My question is, who should I go through for for a H/C Ls1 with full bolt ons?

Did you try searching the PCM Tuning forum here? There are a ton of posts on mail-order tune experiences. Several say to go with a dyno tune instead, but some are all for it. Some recommendations are made as to who to buy from as well.

We offer mail order tuning for $225 currently. How it works is you send us your PCM with a full list of modifications and your contact info. The same day we receive your PCM, it is tuned and shipped back out. We can even next day air it back to you to avoid some of the downtime!

Let us know if you have any more specific questions about our mail order tuning options. We've spent the past 5 years dyno tuning these cars, and several years before that without the dyno, with every setup known to this aftermarket and can get your tune VERY close to where it should be. Then when you get it on the dyno, you can lean it out some and squeeze that last couple hp out of it!

The TSP mail order tunes work pretty well.
My buddy has gotten a few for LS1 swapped cars & they have been real good.

The reason I am going with a mail order is because everyone in Minnesota sucks at tuning Lsxs. I am going to go with a mial order tune, get it close, then have a buddy tweak it on the dyno.

Doesnt TPIS in MN also tune LSx cars? Give them a call. I am pretty sure they do. They make some kickass parts too.

They do, but they only dyno tune. No more road tuning.

How would I lean it out some after getting the reflashed PCM back from you? Would I have to buy a $500+ software package to do this?

Honestly... From most of what i have been reading... and from what I have seen myself (bought tuning software, ordered a mailorder tune... looked at changes... reading and reading and reading) I would say get the software and start reading. You CAN DO IT!!! lol

Truthfully, if you have pcm writing software, look for Dan the owner of Masport Speed (Sponser) new book on tuning. The word is that the info provided in the book is step by step tutorial of every aspect of tunning. I dont know how much it will cost but from what I hear,it will be the first of its kind.
