Default 98 PCM Fried causes Tach Data loss

I had a 98 PCM Fried and brought back to life, however no tach data on dash. Could see Tach Data from ODB II port, but not dash.

Just to let all know, your PCM can work completely fine and still not produce Tach Data to dash. Yesterday we replaced PCM and........BAM Tach data was back on dash. While the tuner was able to revive the old PCM to program a tune on it and drive the car, the old PCM was unable to produce and Tach Data to dash. May have had a bad pin or something but I know one day it worked, next day nothing. Only change was the PCM being tuned, and had failure durring tuning.

After asking several people we were unable to get a clear answer as to what the correct fix would be. Some said it was a break in the wire from PCM, some said crank sensor, some said Cam sensor, some even said bad tach in dash.

NEW PCM. Problem gone.
