pcm controlling 4l80e what type of programming would be required to control a 4l80e in my 98 ss. any help would be helpful , I understand I would need to rewire to change the wire harness to the trans- thanks,
Re: pcm controlling 4l80e Kinda need to know this also. I konw they sell a controller, but I thought it was only for retrofit applications. Will be nice if the LS1/6 PCM can controll the 80E the right way.

Re: pcm controlling 4l80e i've heard about using a MVB in one and it takes the electronic control out of the picture. dont know if that holds up or not though, never done it. since that is basically a th400 w/ o/d i can see how it might work though.

Re: pcm controlling 4l80e I have the trans go manual shift in it but was wondering if I could figure out the pcm- I know for sure that it has been done but by a company that programs- so I don't think they will give out "the secret"

Re: pcm controlling 4l80e all the commands are the same but the wires are in different plugs. if you get wiring diagrams for both and switch the wires in the plugs it should work (havent tried it)
