weird idle. IAC? TPS?
not sure whats going on, but here it is. Sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes my car wants to idle up whenever i push in the clutch. Come to a stop and it idles normal. Other times it runs fine. Puch in the clutch and the RPM's drop down to the normal idle RPM. I have checked all vacuum lines and cleaned everything i can think of. Any ideas?

the last time it did this it was from a vacuum leak. I havent had a chance to check my IAC count yet. I know i have a code for the rear O2's since i dont have cats, but thats the only mod, and its been like that for i while now with no problem

usually up to around 2K until you come to a complete stop. The last time it did it, it was a vacuum leak. Put a new hose on a it was fine. But the difference now is that it doesnt do it all the time. Like yesterday when i left my house it was doing it, but about 5 miles down the road i pushed in the clutch and it stop revving, BUT, a few more miles later i pushed in the clutch and i started revving again, and i had never cut the car off. I took WD40 and hoses down the vacuum lines up front

ok, tried a new o ring. didnt fix anything. At idle, just like when driving, sometimes you can touch the trottle and it will run up to 1500 and idle there before dropping back down

take it to autozone or somewhere and have them scan it, it sounds like your TPS.
One way to test is (sometimes this works) is to set cruise control - try it at different speeds.

im going to scan it tomorrow with my scanner and see what it says. The reason i wonderd about the TPS is because with it idling i can unplug the TPS and nothing changes

Glad you found what type of fault it was, do you know where the vacuum leak is yet?
Mine leaked in the rubber pipe the plugs into the side of the intake at the front which comes off of the rocker covers.

I am having that problem as well, but with an auto, Its kinda like the Cruise Control is on. lol.
It usually does it after I am cruising at a decent speed, and let of the throttle, it likes to hang around 14-1500 rpms.

I have the same issue, but it was self caused, i pulled my tps off and it fell apart, so i put it back together and now a couple of times a day it will stick at 15% throttle on the scanner making my idle high. I need to just buy a new tps.
