Default Idle RPMs drop below what is set in Edit....why?

I have my idle RPM set at 1050 in gear and park in LS1 Edit, but when I put it in gear it drops below 1000 and stalls out. Any ideas why it would do this? How can I fix it? Thanks!

did you drill the throttle blade, or adjust Idle air and timing in edit? with that cam I would think you would have to compensate at idle.

Yeah, the TB hole is 1/4", I didn't adjust Idle Air, what should I do to it?

I lowered the timing at idle, and I upped the IAC in Park values a little.

I lowered my timing to try and fix it, it was pulling 35* for some reason.

What IAC value are you observing when you log the car?

Right now I have the idle set screw to keep it running at almost 2000 RPM, they are about 90-100. I think I might need more air to keep it idling lower, anyone know what I need to change my Idle Air values to?

I multiplied my IAC Park values by 150%, I couldn't find anywhere to change them in gear, where would I do that at?

With a 0.25" TB hole and IAC at 90-100, sounds like it's getting plenty of air. I'd try putting the idle timing back to stock or even higher; that will definitly help it to idle faster.

The IAC Park values are with the IAC "parked" not the transmission. This is the value used when you start the motor.

It will idle in Park, the problem is when I put it in gear, it dies. I thought if it idled fine in park but started hunting when you put it in gear, that was a sign of too much timing? Either way, it still won't hold the idle now, so I might as well change it back.

Thanks for the tip on IAC Park thing.

You don't have an "Idle Air in Gear"

Okay, so are you saying that changing the Idle Air table won't affect how it idles in gear? I realize that there isn't a table named Idle Air in Gear, I was asking if I should modify the Idle Air table at all.

I'd try jacking up the RAF (in gear) and see what happens; it's easy enough to change it back. I tried scaling mine by 120% yesterday and didn't notice anything different, so I changed it back. BTW I'm a M6 so that may not mean anything to you.

What is the RAF? I looked in Edit but didn't see anything like that.

That's the same table you were refering to as "Idle Air in Gear" I believe. If you go to "Idle Air" first, then you get a window that says "Running Air Flow" hence RAF. You then have a line for both "in gear" and "In neutral." I'm saying leave "In neutral" RAF alone but jack up the "in gear" RAF and see what happens.
