What tune for a LS6 swap
What tune for a LS6 swap I am in the middle swapping engines in my 02' Z28. I am putting a GMPP LS6 crate engine in my camaro and I was wondering what tune I should use .. the factory LS1 tune or the corvette tune? I am using the most recent HP Tuners. Also, this factory tune is temporary untill I break the motor in, than I will DynoTune it.

FWIW, I swapped a LS6 into my Z about 5 years ago. I actually used a mail order tune (I didn't have HP Tuners at the time) from where I can't remember and drove it like that for close to 2 years. With that tune, a lid, catback, 3000 stall, 2.73's, stock manifolds and cats, the car went 12.55 @ 111 on Goodyear Eagle GSC's! When I got HP Tuners I did some minor tweaking, added MAC mids w/ catted Y, an ASP pulley, 3.73's and drag radials and the car was running 12.30's @ 112ish. I finally got a dyno tune and the before #'s w/ all the bolt-ons were 362 rwhp, after were 373 and the et dropped to 12.11.
