Default 98-02 LS1 Granatelli MAF Sensors TUNING Q's

Saw this for sale on WS6Store.com. Noticed they are charging more for CAI/NOS dry tuning before mailing it out? WTF? Anyone know what the hell these guys are actually charging people $10 extra for...I am assuming my HP Tuners Pro can do the same thing?

http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...08695a794f484f

"*Cold air inductions significantly increase airflow and can cause tremendous turbulence in the air intake stream. When using the GMS mass airflow sensor with any type of cold air induction, high flow induction, or high flow air filter, your GMS mass airflow sensor must be calibrated with cold air tuning or a check engine light can occur. A ?C? as the last digit in the part number designates cold air tuning."

Stay away, those things are basically trickery, and yes, your HPtuners can do all that and then some...

They are just all over the place response-wise and frequently make cars very lean at WOT, even with the high locked trims they bring. One unbelievable car abotu 8-10 months ago, full boltons, even an EWP and this MAF... Even with a +8 locked ofsetting LTFT, the car was still 14.2ish:1 up top and the car had been raced literally 50+ times like that, and he was about to use 100 wet hit on it with the supplied fuel jet. Good thing he got the car looked at first. I have seen them have some near humps in their "curve" as well that are fat in areas.

Whew, sorry for the soapboxing, they are just not a quality piece. More than a few I have tuned have come back with a different MAF to redo because their Granatelli quit. An SES promptly was set.

If you need a bigger MAF, GM makes an 85mm that works well when scaled.
