Sd Tuning And 5 Wire Maf Question I'm tuning a truck and it has the 5 wire MAF, I searched some stuff and see that a lot of people are buying this adapter and running an LS1 IAT sensor. My question is since this is a temporary thing until I get done tuning the VE tables if I already have the vehichle harness side of the plug can I use the IAT sensor thats made in the 5 wire maf and just disconnect the 3 wires for the MAF. Has anyone ever done this? I found this description of the wires and what they do in a post by JimmyBlue.
Also is it a must to unplug the MAF even though I have set the MAF fail freqency to 0?

Looked, but did not find, so beeped it all out.
Delphi 85mm 5-pin MAF is used in trucks, Z06 and is the base for
SLP and the Granatelli "low cost" 85mm MAF
Delphi 76mm 3-pin MAF is used on '98-'02 F-Bodies and older
Corvettes.

4 MAF power (IGN), to FBody MAF harness, PNK (pink) to ENG SEN fuse
5 MAF output, to FBody MAF harness, YEL (yellow) to PCM C2 Pin 31

in other applications (my purpose for doing this was to use the truck
MAF in a "ghetto flow bench" I'm building).
