I have a 2000 SS 6spd. Mods include Kooks longtubes, slp lid, removed cats, rear O2 sims installed, slp y-pipe, i performed the mod that removes the airflow divider from the MAF housing. I did the MAF mod most recently about 6 months ago. I recently got a fuel trim lean bank 1 (PO171) and a lean code from the B1, S1 O2 (PO131). After cleaning out the MAF, and replacing the O2 sensor i now have an insufficient activity B1, S1 (PO134) that won't go away. It's not the sensor, or as far as i can determine not a wiring issue. What other kinds of issues could pop this code? None of these codes have affected fuel economy or drivability. Could this be exhaust leak, injector, anything else?

Your ported MAF probably has leaned the car out so much that your O2s are just stuck low as evidenced by all the codes (171 lean code, 131 stuck low, 134 insuff activity) you've set. I could hook up my scanner and verify it if you want. Looks like you are just down the road from me. Has the car been tuned?

I think the car was tuned for the headers because I've driven it for over a year with no lean codes until now. I would love the help with the scanner. Could the MAF cause a lean condition on just one side of the motor?

I went and saw 2xLS1 on Sat. after work and after about an hour and a half, and very kindly allowing me the use of his knowledge and garage to mess with the car, he determined that the O2 extension for B1S1 had a faulty connection (by faulty I mean I recently switched two wires when wiring up a new O2 sensor plug) so after warrantying out my bad front O2 and getting a new extension, the SS is running a bit smoother and without a MIL. Thank you very much 2xLS1.
