Default What does the LS1 advance curve look like?

I have a scan gauge in a pillar pod and I can select a number of things to monitor off the PCM. I can't believe what it is reading on the ignition advance. Just cruising around town at below 2K rpm I am seeing the advance go as high as 40 degrees. It drops if you goose it. Can this be right? It has a small boost mail order tune.

Download EFilive software at www.efilive.com

It is free to look at, then open up the tune file from either the holden crazy site, or in your efilive bin folder that it puts on your laptop in the my documents folder.

It will show you the stock timing curves and all of the other tables that are in your pcm...

If you have questions about the software you can call me.

Yes the stock tune has a fair bit of 40°-38° cells in the low-airmass area.

Thanks guys. I actually printed out the screen shot of the timing. I am a old fart and this type of engine management sophistication is new to me. To many years dealing with mechanical advance curves which tend to be very linear.
