Drive by wire to throttle cable

Will my 2004 PCU still work with my fast 92mm TB since it is not drive by wire? I read somewhere that drive by wire PCU's cant be used with a cable driven TB, is this true?

Yes, it is true.

There is only 1 car in the US that uses the 1meg PCM with a throttle cable, the 2004 GTO. GM in thier infinite wisdom decided to save some pennys and not install the IAC valve driver into the 1 meg PCM's that were not put in GTO's. If you want to use that throttle body, the PCM will not be able to control the IAC valve
