Broken Diagnostic port?
I have one of the hand held diagnostic tools that I use to read /erase codes on family's/friend's cars. I wanted to view my idle speed on the formula so I plugged it up and configured it for the car. As soon as I try to view any data it tells me to please plug the device into the DLC port. I have used this thing on about 10-12 other vehicles of all makes and models and it works fine. It is acting like the port is broken or not connected.
I have 3 questions.
1. Is there a fuse for the port?
2. Could this be a lockout feature put in place when the car was tuned with an aftermarket tuning program?
3. Has anyone ever had a port go bad?
