Default Transition SD to MAF, now weird startup phenom..

Setup in Sig. I have successfully made the transition from CLSD to MAF. To my surprise, in my opinion, the car actually warms up, idles, decels, and gear transitions much better than in SD mode. One new issue.

(All of this happens in less than 5 seconds) On statup, it catches in less than a second and jumps to around 800 RPM, then imediately falls on its face to around 300-400 RPMs and catches again, then stumbles its way back up to 1100 and is smooth as silk from that point on. (these RPMS are all estimates but you get the idea)

This has happened every time(~20) I have started the car since the MAF incorp.

I dont have a log right now but if no one understands what is happening with this description I will post a log.

Thanks!

You could try logging the idle trims by ECT and then adjusting those tables.

That would help.
But it seems anytime I make a tuning change I come up with different numbers.

The problem with that is that at start up the NB do not work. and the commanded a/f is going to be 12 or 13.

Could you elaborate on this? So, is fueling the direct cause of this then?

Thanks.

It sounds like it to me. If you were running ok SD then changed to maf that is the only thing it could be.

Ok, so i didnt know that the MAF affected startup conditions? Its literally only the first 5 seconds after I turn the key.
