I was given a DiabloSport predator 3 from my friend and when I try to use it, it says "This device is locked to another vehicle". Is there anyway I can "cheat" or "reset" this thing?

Diablosport predator III? Mines locked to my VIN but it's one of the first ones that came out - see what version it is when plugged in - thinking 2.0? and above should work for tuning as long as it's been returned to stock. Any version should read/clear current codes and show real time data, I've used mine on my neighbor's 01 Saturn.

That tuner is locked to your friends car.
You will have to have him install the factory tune back to his vehicle and then you should be O.K. considering you two have the same vehicle.
