Default Price of computer???

DILEMMA: Just had COMP Cam/LT Headers/SLP exhaust installed. The shop can do the tune, but my computer (PCM or whatever its called) is locked. Not sure when it happened, as I just bought the car a couple weeks ago.

How much would it cost for me to purchase a new one so that my car can be tuned? I just know I am gonna HATE your answers

Usually see them go from $75-125. Do you know who previously tuned the pcm?

contact wait4me, he has the best price around on replacement pcms. Or he may be able to unlock, you will have to ask.

Have no idea who previously tuned it. It was totally stock (looking) when I got it. No mods at all. If there ever were any mods, the PO removed every single thing bcuz it looked like it had never beedn modded.

Is that price from the dealer? Or a vendor?

I live in Houston TX.

What do you mean by $300 plus $200 core. Sorry, but that always confuses me

$300 if I don't give them mine? And $200 if I give them mine?

$500 to buy outright (300 part cost, and $200 code) But you get the $200 back whn you turn back in the old one. So net cost is $300

Basically, a way to make sure they get the old one back to remanufacture, and sell again.
