Default Troubleshooting a hard start???

Without any new mods, or anything, my car has suddenly decided to take its time cranking before starting. I am looking at the following as possible causes, please chime in if I miss any or you have some ideas:

Plugs - TR6's havent been changed in a year, +/- 14k miles

Bad gas-although I use the same gas station everytime to avoid this problem, maybe

Possible fuel pressure- i do hear the Walbro cycle, and pressure up , but not sure what the pressure is...

Unless there is some sensor, or computer thing I dont know what else. The fuel filter was replaced only 3k miles ago or less. Once running it is fine, pulls hard, no misfires, stumbling or anything, and it doesnt start hard all the time. TIA.

Charlie.

My car has been doing the same thing, but only if it's hot and had about a half hour sitting . . . it acts like it's either not getting spark or fuel, but I have 60psi . . . some say it may be heat soak, I don't know, it just started doing it. When it's cold it's fine.

Can't remember if it does it cold??? Dayum, knew I was leaving a base uncovered. Will change plugs this week....cant believe I have neglected this for so long (lets see about 20 ten pound bottle mix of 100 and 150 shots, and about 14+ thousand miles later, maybe I need new ones huh?).

OK, stopped being lazy and began pulling plugs.
#3, #5, #7 then #1..
#1 has a patina (copper discolored green liek antique..sp?) to it and the ground strap looks swollen.
#5 was loose to say the least, maybe this has something to do with me running slower after cam...

#2 looks ok, but i am currently on hold with Checkers for new TR6', so no need to do anymore til i find out if they gottem.

Changed plugs, new TR6' in, and checked wires, all at 45 +/- ohms.

Still hard to start. If I crank for just a second or two, then stop and tap the key again, she fires right up....wtf? Anyone?

Once it does start, do you smell raw gas?

No, not really. It does it cold, like overnight, or if let it set for 10min after running. Started thinking of my carb days and having an overfull float, or now leaking injectors, but figured the raw fuel smell would be there, as well i think it would take more than one injector leaking to do this. Also, if i just bump the key, then hit again, it starts like she used to?
I am clueless.

Could be your pump leaking also. That would be why there is no fuel smell.

Next step I guess is to hookup a FP gauge and check to make sure the fuel is actually at the injectors when the pump is energized. Totally odd how it will crank for a while (5-8seconds) and start, or do a real quick crank and then do it again, and it will start right up on the 2nd crank.

Run some fuel injector cleaner thru it. Sounds like early stages of plugged injectors.

Anyway to troubleshoot the injectors for needing cleaning? I know if it were one having misfire to swap em around, but this is EVERY single time I try to start the car if it has been sitting from 10min or longer, it takes at least two bumps.
