Default All possible reasons for a cylinder not to get spark?

Okay, here is my situation, I have one cylinder that does not fire. I pulled the wire, tried to get it to arc, it would not. Swapped coils, it did fire (seemed kind of weak though), so I put it back on the plug, it seemed to clear up and run good for 45 seconds or so, then it went back to being really shitty sounding and almost dying. What are the causes for a cylinder not getting spark (maybe killing the coils)....? Any ideas?

Check the wiring under the coil brackets, I have seen a few cars that were worn through with very few miles on them. Make sure all your grounds are hooked up (especially behind the LH cyl head). Are you getting any codes?

The only code I get is a misfire code and an occasional 02 Heater code. Back when I still had the 227 cam in the car, the misfire would clear up above 2500 or so, and #2 would begin to misfire. I'll check all the grounds, where are the others besides the 4 in the engine compartment, is there one on the back of both heads?

grounds are only on the drivers side rear of the head. Pull the coil bracket off the car and look at the silver covered wiring underneath right where the bolts that hold it to the valve cover are and make sure it isnt rubbed through anywhere - its hard to spot if it is..

It could be a bad PCM or any wiring between it and the coil also..

I didn't have the problem until I relocated the coils, I'll look at the ground and back through the wiring.
