Default whats in a tune?

ok, so I've done reading and reading and searches but I still feel the need to start a new thread. I'm sure someone can help, and this might help others as well.

so It's time for my car to get a tune, my mods:

corsa exhaust
lid
kooks headers
ls6 intake
ORY
!air
!egr
underdrive pulley

I'm going to check out a local tuner this weekend, I want to ask him questions to see how much knowledge he has with ls1's.

I know that every car and tune is different but what is the general consensus of where things should be given my mods?

I'm sure the A/F ratio should be 12.8-13.1 correct?

also it should be smooth all the way across

what about timing? should it be bumped up? to where?

and what other things do you change when you get a tune, generally where should they be set? thanks in advance for what may seem like dumb questions.

It really depends on the tuner & the car, you'll be hardpressed to find two tuners that tune exactly alike. I've seen some pro tuners set timing to 22-24* for an application like your's while others will stretch it to 29-30* and both tuners are very well known & with tons of experience, same with afr, I've seen some tuners that swear by 13.5:1 afr while others will keep it on the rich side ie 12.5:1 knowing on the street or at the track in the middle of the summer that 12.5:1 might quickly turn into 13.0:1.

So to answer your question Im not sure if you'll find a true answer to your question, or you might find more than 1 true answer

He should play with the timing. The VE. the PE settings. Def do some work on the idle parameters. hopefully recal the MAF. There are no universal settings.

The more time they spend on the car the better.
