Disabling TCC lockup function Im about to install a 3000rpm conveter without a lockup plate. What needs to be done with the trans cal to prevent a TCC slip DTC code being set and the PCM setting the trans into limp mode?

Re: Disabling TCC lockup function Not to tell you what to do with your car, but why would you not want a converter with a lockup clutch? For highway driving, you will sure wish you had it. Even most very high stall converters in the 4,000 stall range have a lockup clutch.

Re: Disabling TCC lockup function Problem solved. Had the non-lockup converter installed with the H/C package and loving it. Gas mileage does not seem to have changed much from the stock unit. RPMS will happily sit on 2200rpm when crusing and still maintain the speed. The revs will rise slightly up a hill.
