Default Check engine light after longtubes

Just put longtubes on my 98 ws6. I got rid of the whole egr system out of the car but have not yet gotten the code deleted. I was driving my car and all of a sudden it just would not accelerate and the car was just shaking and not driving right. I went to the parts store and borrowed a scanner and 2 codes for the egr came up and one code was bank 1 sensor 1 low voltage and another for bank 2 sensor 1. I think it is because of the o2 sensors, they are the stock ones off the car but i made them longer to fit the long tubes. I read something that you should put the corvette o2 sensors on the car but i dont know, any help would be much appreciated. thanks a lot.

I also have o2 sims in the rear there are no codes for the rear o2 sensors.

How long after header install did your car start having problems?

If it was right after, I bet your O2's are swapped. Left O2 MUST go to the left side, and Right MUST go to the right side. It is very easy to swap with the way they are angled.

Bank 1/Bank2 Sensor 1 are the front O2's, so this seems likely.

They only do that on Vettes, not F-bodies.

You probably did something wrong extending the wires.

when you extended the wires, what side of the connector did you extend? the o2 side or the chassis side?
