Tuner couldnt tune!
Tuner couldnt tune! Went to get my car tuned totally excited only to find out that that my pcm failed to allow the changes to be made. It "failed" when trying to write to the computer. Tuner thinks my pcm is bad or I have a bad ground in the car. More than likely ever since the fucken monkey who installed my audio system ive had nothing but problems. Tuner suggested a new pcm and troubleshoot from there.
Mostly venting but also looking for suggestions and or experiences similar thanks.
Oh pcm wouldnt even connect to standard obd2 scanner!

has it been tuned before?? is your PCM/Tune locked???

Ding ding ding! you said audio system. A coworker's truck CANNOT be flashed without disconnecting his A/V fuse, because his Eclipse head unit is never actually off. It only goes into a "sleep" mode, and it interferes with flashing the PCM when it powers up at an inconvenient time.
Yes i feel it might be the audio system too. Once after the slp long tubes I did burn my o2 sensor wires but had that repaired.
I will try to remove the a/v fuse reconnect the obd2 and if that works try to retune.
On another note my car has 115k miles. Is it time to accept my car is over the hill?
Will the tune even be a good investment?
I gave it a full tune up and it runs ok, but still lost to an 02 gt this morning.

I have slp longtubes, underdrive pulley, ls6 intake, lid and other minor bolt ons.
I will try to remove the a/v fuse reconnect the obd2 and if that works try to retune.
