HPT & Reduced Power
HPT & Reduced Power My buddy is having trouble with his car, I have HP Tuners so we decided to download his tune and take a look. With HPT connected and the switch in the run postion I'm getting Engine Reduced Power on the info center and a HPT message that says Cannot Read VCM No Power To Port. With HPT disconnected power on I'm not getting the Reduced Power message. What the heck ?????????
When the pcm tries to communicate in program mode it kills all class 2 and UART communications with outside modules. In this case the pcm is losing communications with the TAC module so it turns on the reduced engine power on the DIC. nothing to worry about it's normal.
