I just checked out that log that you sent up. Before you load that new tune file, go ahead and lower your idle, we really need to bring that down because your IAC movements are doing something funky and i think its because the desired idle is set far too high...

copy this into your idle table.

1200.000000 1300.000000
1200.000000 1300.000000
1200.000000 1300.000000
1200.000000 1300.000000
1150.000000 1250.000000
1150.000000 1250.000000
1100.000000 1200.000000
1100.000000 1200.000000
1000.000000 1100.000000
1000.000000 1100.000000
950.000000 1050.000000
950.000000 1050.000000
950.000000 1050.000000
950.000000 1050.000000
950.000000 1050.000000
950.000000 1050.000000

...this also means that you're going to have to re adjust your VE table once again, as well as adjust your RAFIG... don't you just love this?!

To adjust your RAFIG, go to the scan tool, go to the maps tab, select a map letter that is unused. Under the Maps tab, click the "Open map definition file" and select the "{B4307} Desired Airflow - In Gear AC Off (RAFIG) Imperial.map". Once that map is loaded, choose the average, and then right click in the map data, choose map properties, on the page that pops up, increase the precision to like 4, than hit save. Select the whole map, and then copy w/ labels. Go to your tune file and open up B4307, and then paste and add w/labels. It will always be paste and ADD w/ labels as the numbers will be negative if there is too much air, so keep that in mind. So, go through that process of loading the tune, logging, adjusting your VE-table/RAFIG until you get the idle down. Remember, the PCM takes some time to learn idle as well, so you will have to let it sit in idle for a bit, like 10 mins. Do this several times until there is little adjustment to the RAFIG like less than 1 g/s, and when your AFR's are relatively steady and spot on to whats commanded.

Also, keep in mind that some of the lean condition you're seeing is because of the IAT rising, that means that your IAT biase filter needs some adjustment, and this will be made easier once you get your idle set at an IAT around 80F, so you will have to move your IAT sensor away from that heat source so it doesn't get heat soaked.

I made the changes and reflashed the pcm with the new tune. Here is a cold start logging AutoVE and RAFIG.

File to large

I don't know how to compress the log file Here is the new tune file. I was unable to paste the RAFIG into the new tune file. I think it is because I logged it as *F and the tune file has it as *C.

402_PE3500_update_0002.tun

I really wish you could look at that log. The IAC looks stange to me also. It randomly jumps up at times.

I really don't have much choice on where the IAT sensor is located. I'm hoping it is only getting heat soaked because I'm sitting still. Remember it is mounted in my boost pipe "metal". That metal is getting really hot with the car idleing for 20 minutes strait with no air going over it and very little going threw it. Maybe the air temps will be more consistant when I put the blower on? I have a FMIC and a meth system to combat the heat but neither are going to help with the heat soak it idle.

Speaking of putting the blower on. I really need to switch to a COS. I have a 3 bar map sensor that I need to install one day this week.

Just shoot it over to my email....haans249@gmail.com

Also, since you're doing your tune in metric readings, just load the metric map for RAFIG, and you'll be good to update your desired airflow table.

How did it idle with the lower idle settings? Once we get all of your idle parameters dialed in, and the PCM learns all the new idle settings, then your IAC valve should quit acting up. It could also mean that you have your throttle plate open too far, and even after resetting it, it tripping the iac valve out of idle mode. But anyway, send the log to my e-mail instead.

It was a little rough which I like. I don't think the throttle plate is open. I have never messed with the set screw and the tps was at 0.0v the whole time. I'm sending that log now.

I changed my map in the scan tool to metric and replotted. I'm still getting a message that says "Cannot find any matching row/col tables, no data has been pasted."

The rows/collums look the same to me
