would headers change AFR????

i just bought some LT's, still in the process of puttin em on, will the headers make me run leaner?? my tuner if im not mistaken made my car a little leaner then factory and changed fan settings (now hav 160 t stat) also advanced timing and torque management. now will i run too lean after the header install? (also rear o2's deleted already no cats) i dont want to blow the motor at WOT. thank you

Wideband

Your best answer would be to buy an wideband and install then their would be no question in my opition best mod you can make to a car look at the PLX wideband their about $250 very small. Then you will have no question to if its lean.

Usually you're fine. My car actually needed very little tuning after the headers went on. Others though have ran into problems. Get your hands on a wideband (or buy one, they're a great investment) and take a look at what's going on. That's the only way to really find out since every car reacts to mods differently.

like the other's have said you need to have a WB to make a final conclusion. i know on one of my friends car we were able to add a good about of fuel it was running pretty lean up top. and on another friends car we didnt have to do anything to it.....strange i know.

btw just wanted to say your pretty brave running !cats in cali lol

^^^ yea screw the cali emissions, i got some ceramic pacesetters with their y pipe and poly motor mounts 8 stage locking bolts, steel braided brake lines. the pacesetter y pipe has a big chunck of metal sticking in the merge, i had to grind that off, it took a few days. the car is now all apart and im just waiting for the motor mounts to come in! im still undecided on if i should keep my EGR or remove it and same with the AIR too.
