ECU question about different years i was wondering which ECU's can be switched between different years, i got a 99 trans am and was looking to see if a 01 computer will work???
Yes. I'm sure there are more specifics, but I've done it.
I put a 2002 ecu in a 2001 car so I could use my 2002 specific tuning stuff.
The 2002 ecu had the same numbers on and and the same four letter code, and came out of the exact type car just different year.

well i was hopeing it was just a direct plug in the computer i got has a tune in it for the exact same set up im running in my 99 ex. heads cam nitrous both comps are out of auto cars
