Just can't figure it out
Just can't figure it out ok i have had several people look at this and nobody can come up with a reason.
First i have a 1987 R-10 chevy truck that i did a LQ4 swap with a radix supercharger on it with a 3" pulley running a 2-bar map S/D i am running the turbo 350 but next week i will be putting in the 4L80E. the truck puts down 401hp with 450ftlbs.
now when i go to the track all the runs i have done i can only get 15 deg of timing not matter what we do to it. oh the truck is set for S/D but is still looking for the maf. if we disable it the truck with not start. i have posted the tunes and scans from the other night in hopes someone can tell me what i am doing wrong.
ok i can't upload the files to here if someone can help i have the scans and files all HP tuners

1808-s1 was what we ended up with but they still didn't make a difference

I had a similar issue with my truck, dropping timing on the shift's, I believe there were some tables in the pcm for traction control on the trucks and it was pulling the timing to prevent it from spinning, once we set all the values to 0 then it did not pull as much timing, still some drop but have not yet figured that out. Are your slicks or track tires a different height than your street tires, cuz it might encourage this issue. Just some thoughts, I'm not a tuner, someone does it for me and this was the solution he had so maybe try it if you have no other solutions...hope this helps you out and you get that thing screaming.....401hp will put down good numbers, my 2000 silverado went 13.28 on some nitto drag radials, tall tall gear and factory clutch fan and I dont think it would make near your power! no i am running street tires truck runs 13.5 at 5280 ft above so i am happy but i know it will run more if i can get more timing in it. i don't have the 4L80 in yet but i am thinking this might be the problem. i will check and see if i can bandaid it for the time being until i get the tranny next week or this week
not positive but I wouldnt see a weak tranny causing low timing? I would look for those tables I was informing you of earlier and see what values are in them, if it was making higher timing on the street or on the dyno then something is going on at the track, street tires are hard to hook on the track, may be picking up some spin.....anyway good luck and check out those tables.....why they are in there I have no idea! my truck didnt have traction control.....lol good luck
Remove the MAF from the table display. I think you will then see that your actual airflow in g/cyl is in the part of your timing table where you are commanding that.
