shifting help Why would I be shifting at different RPM's at different gear shifts? I have my shifts set at 6400, with my rev limiter at 6800, but I shift from 1-2 at 5900-5970 and 2-3 at 6400-6450. I have moved my MPH from everywhere higher than where my shift would be to down to 25 from 50% throttle and above. What gives? am I missing a table to set it at?

Re: shifting help I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that the tachometer in our cars is very lazy (i.e., slow responding). That's why many of us with M6 install a shift light.
In the lower gears, the engine revs up quicker, and the lazy tach has greater error. In higher gears, the tach has more time to catch up.
Are you sure that your car really is shifting at different RPM's, or is it just reported differently by the tach?

Re: shifting help I'm in the same boat trying to figure this **** out right now.I'VE been moving the norm shift points and my hot shift points with the mph and not doing ****.This part is pissin me off.It's prety hard to to this on the road worring about cops. 
Re: shifting help Ok I hope I can help. Do you have all of your sift tabs the same? if not do it. cut and paste. What are your shift times set to? set them to .2 . Less than .2 and you can run into problems burning clutches.
You want to ENABLE the shift via the RPM AND MPH so set it before you reach the point at which you want to shift. IT TAKES A MOMENT TO SHIFT so you will be hitting a moving target. GOOD LUCK!!

Re: shifting help I had been fighting the same problem for the past couple of months. No matter what changes I made it always shifted at 5800 rpm. I ended up moving my shift points up to 6800 with LS1 edit to get it to shift at 6100. My rev limit is set at 6300. Just keep bumping the rpm's up until you get it to shift where you want it.
