Default Locked PCM?

Im getting ready to purchase hp tuners this week and I have read up that some tuners lock the pcm. The car was previously tuned with the ls1 edit software by the previous owner. I wanna use hp tuners on this car, do I have any worries?

You should only worry if you believe your tuner locked your pcm and even then I've been able to read supposedly locked LS1 edit tunes in the past so the chances of you being locked out are probably pretty slim.

Did the previous owner tune it himself or have someone do it? I know Ed Wright likes to lock his tunes but I'm not sure how hard it is to reverse it.
