TC locking
TC locking My wife's C5 has a 3200 stall TC installed. When she is cruising 55-60mph, the TC seems to lock and unlock, especially on small hills. I just purchased HPTuners; What adjustments can I make to help eliminate this?

Lockup cycling is usually misfires (or, a throttle / MPH
lock setting that is just on the edge of where you are
trying to run). Watch the TCC_Mode field in the table
display, if you see it jump from "Locked" to "--3--" it
is misfires. Lightweight converters elevate the misfire
sensitivity. You can start with doubling the non-32000
type values in the misfire tables or you can set it all
to the "blow it off" value just for diagnosis, leaving
it there will defeat all misfire detection.
Now, flaring is a whole different matter and the TCC
Mode will say locked but TCC slip RPM will slide around.
Flare is a shortage of clutch pressure. See if you have
a General Pressure tab full of stuff in the Trans section.
There is a TCC Locked line adder you can use to get
more holding torque capacity out of it.
