Default Converter lockup problem after cam install.Misfire code del.

After cam install and some ls1edit tuning , my car has a hard time on the highway in overdrive locking up. Sometimes it wont lock and other times it takes forever and a day to lock. The guys who tuned my car says that just the way it is with an A4 car. thats one of the things that come with a cam install. Is that the way it really is and there is no fix so I just have to accept it and drive it that way.

you are getting random misfires which cause the converter to unlock. delete the random misfire and your lock up will be fine.

Depends on how you have it setup. Ditto on deleting the po300.

It is NOT the PO300 code. It is actuall misfire detection. For me, I just disable misfire detection completely by rasing the enable/disable temp up to 141/142 C.

I was the first to find/fix this issue back about 2 years ago.

Thanks everyone for the imput, heres what my tuner did see that the misfire dectection was already turned off, he started with new normal shift tables and turned my torque management down to 4 degrees and adjusted my 3 to 4 shift to 45mph my converter locks now,he says it possible that maybe one of the parameters on the first table didnt take or possible something was just maybe screwed up , But all is good so far .
