Default PCM Settings for Cooling Fans On/Off vs Temps?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the turn on/turn off temps for the engine cooling fans are?

Do they change depending on if the A/C compressor is on?
Is the speed of the fans dependent on the vehicle MPH?

Is one fan a high speed and the other low speed?

Thanks!

Are you using LS-1 edit or what kind of programmer are you using to make changes?

If you use a 160 thermostat then use these settings.
fan 1 on at 184 off at 175
fan 2 on at 194 off at 185

Keep in mind the 160 stat runs a tad warmer than the advertised temp rating. My engine actually runs 178 degs all the time, so if my fans were set to turn off at 175, well , they never would.
I think each truck/car needs to be logged and find out where your normal driving temp is.

If the ac is turned on, i believe both fans come on.
I guess the fans are dependent on the vehicle mph, becuase if you're going slow, your engine will heat up, then they'll come on, hehehe.

Not sure on the hi/low fans, i know they spin low and hi, i'm not sure if one is always the low one and the other is the hi one.

btw, thanks Hitman,

allen

The fans are wired in series through relays on the low speed mode. In the high speed mode, they are switched to parallel wiring by the relays. On low speed they run on 6 volts, on high speed they run on 12 volts.

So hmm, this is a strage thing. I am thinking that the fans come on at low speed when the A/C is on until the temps hit a certain range then come on. This complexity made me just purchase a Flex-A-Lite VSC controller.

Thanks guys!
