will a broken brake fluid level sensor trip SES?
Well, I tripped an SES light and as luck would have it, my AutoTap V1 is broken so I can't read the code. I ran the car for a drive cycle (about 12 miles one way to the store and back). I've tried pulling the PCM BAT fuse in case it was a soft code but after restarting, it was immediately on (the light never went off from IGN to START). I checked for loose connectors/wires and found only one: the brake reservoir fluid level sensor. The sensor is broken out of the brake master cylinder. I knew it was loose before, I'm thinking between the pressure bleed I did yesterday and the full throttle, red line 3rd gear run I maybe knocked it/broke it completely out.
My question is this: will this trip a SES code? I thought it would trigger a brake light. I'm hoping this is what's causing the light. Otherwise the car runs fine.
thanks
Jesse
