Not hard to come by, pre 75 400s are the best to work with and much cheaper/easy to find then a 455 and are stronger to boot. We can use a stroker crank to make a 461+ ci out of the 400 blocks and are very common now a days. AND you can get everything in the aftermarket including aluminum & iron blocks, iron blocks can go over 600ci too. Many heads are available and some flow 400+ cfm out of the box. Yep, alot has changed over the last ten years. If you notice (surprised no one commented about it) the "ford like" intake on the 505ci motor, those heads flow 375cfm at .700" as cast.
