slp didn't do the ws6 cars. ASC did the work, and if i recall they are out of buisness. Try this https://ls1tech.com/forums/special-e...asc-s-ws6.html

I believe SLP only handled the 96-97 WS6 cars. That's probably why they had info on your 97. From 98-02 the WS6 was an ASC job.

Too bad your WS6 is black, otherwise I'd be able to look up your ASC#.

Here's a breakdown of '98 WS6 build numbers by color except for the missing red & black numbers. It shows 2273 T/A coupes, 221 Formula coupes, 339 T/A 'verts and 2 Formula 'verts were built, but that only totals 2835 cars, leaving a 251 car descrepancy compared to the official total of 3086 WS6s built in '98. I'm speculating that the missing 251 were Canadian cars that were not included in the 2835 total.

hey just out of curiosity does a manifest of your car help in finding anything? Cause i have one for mine and just wondering if it helps in anyway or is it just a good record to have? it says the date when my car was made and i believe the time too. Its pretty sweet to say the least.

I thought it would be the 1st digit of the VIN, but all 4-th gens were built in Canada, so they all start w/ a "2". I believe all Canada-destined cars came equipped w/ engine block heaters, if you car has one, it's probably a Canadian-destined car. My Canadian '94 Z28 had an engine block heater and auto headlamps, which at the time were only put on Canadian cars.
