78 trunk lid spring help...?
Anyone have any experience with the rear windshield trim on this car?
I'm trying to replace the trunk springs, took the lid off, removed the screws on the piece above the lid but cannot figure out how to get the rest of the piece that extends to the bottom of the rear window out. I figure I must remove the chrome trim to possibly get to some screws under the trim...?
Any tips on how to remove the chrome trim without ruining it. This car is all original with 22,300 miles so I don't want to damage the trim, rear window or the body. Please help. TY!

Local auto parts store has a tool to remove the trim.
If I remember right, that piece goes under the window, you will probably have to remove the glass to get it out. When I had my 77, it was rusted so bad that the chrome was the only thing holding the glass in.
