Headlight stop broken

Headlight stop broken The white tab on my headlight stop is bent back and doesnt come in contact with the mechinisum. Should I be able to bend it back and be ok or is there a reason why it over extened? Car looks funny winking at you a little bit
Mine broke when I was removing the motor (to fix the worm gear) - when I got it back together, it would go up then right back down. I fab'd a piece of Aluminum L bracket from Lowe's Depot and made a new stop - no problem.

If its the one keeping it from closing too much. I bought a little set of, I believe they were called, license plate tabs from autozone. They are in the section where they keep all the little bolts,nuts,screws etc. Came home and adjusted a new one properly, worked great.
