heck there is actualy little diffrence in the W-body FWD engine as well besides the intake but they still make the same power

my old 2001 grand Prix GT got 22 in town. i have no idea how much a v6 F-body weighs but my GT coupe was 3400lbs

i think the reason why you where getting 15mpg was your where flooring the car every chance you got becuase it was "slow"

I easily got at least 30mpg highway when I was cam-only and NA, probably had more still but I could never drive this thing with my foot out of it, didn't do too bad for power, put down 250whp NA. I'm aiming to get the same mileage with my expected 500 hp, long as it's out of boost, the engine isn't really any different.

My previous 3.8 V6 Camaro averaged about 22city MPG with headers/exhaust was pretty good the highway was around 27-28. I really loved that car for a motor that came out in the mid 90s that thing got up and moved for the size of the car it was moving. Correct me if im wrong but didnt the 3.8 series motors when quite a few awards back in the day?

02Form you are a tool bag, that is all.

OP, I respect what you have done to your car. I just couldn't live with having a slow car, so I took the "easy" way out and did an LS1 swap. Although I'd take the "easy" way out before the "long and torturous" way out any day, as evidenced by the LS1 swap I did. Best of luck. Bet that V6 will be pretty reliable after you get the bugs worked out.

My V6/4L60E got pretty much the same MPG as my LS1/4L60E does in city use. V6 was way better on highways. The difference was that my V6 ran on 87 octane. My LS1 swap takes 91 octane. Anybody want to do the math and figure out how much more efficient my LS1 was in regards to my wallet?

P.S. O2form has long been discredited as far as I'm concerned. I disregard any and all of his posts, regardless of content.

My wife can't emulate how I drive and she gets worse MPG city driving with her Mazda3.

I'm also not sure what elevation you are living at as well as what the landscape is like. It's flatland mashing around here all the time.
I believe you, Its all hills and mts here. The V6 just doesn't shine in those situations. You end up with your foot in it most of the time. Its ashame too because I really liked that firebird, It was in like new condition. My wife hated the thing, as soon as she heard the exhaust for the 1st time the honeymoon was over. The aftermarket exhaust I put on just made it sound worse.

I think you guys just got trolled in an epic way.

I've had a cam/stall/4.10 02 V6 and a stalled 99 Formy. Both got similar mileage with the nod going to the V6.

My uncle has a 2001 v6 camaro, I asked his last night after reading and laughing at this thread. He averages around 22-24 city and upper 20s highway. This kid is a joke. Hes just pist because his wifey didnt like how it sounded and made him sell it.

Did 21mpg with only 60 miles highway driving, and the rest of the 190 miles being city driving, 5 dyno pulls and 1 really good thrashing on a V6 Charger that didn't want to let me merge.
