the moisture is what causes the bulbs to blow. I sealed mine with silicone and haven't had an issue in two years

You can try to seal them, or drill a small hole in the bottom of the housing to allow water to drain/evaporate without causing more cracks

They're cheap junk... evidence of the fact being you can buy brand new lamps on ebay for 30 bucks. My driverside one is dull and fills with moisture, so I have one coming in the mail tomorrow. and hopefully this being the 3rd time Ive spliced on a new pigtail will be the last.

I dont know what fucktard engineer put the pigtail on the bottom of the lamp where all the moisture could run to... but what an *******.

The socket comes apart and then you don't have to splice. I replaced my sockets last weekend.

Any hairline crack will allow moisture in. I only replaced my lenses once. When I bought my car they were cracked. I replaced them and put some 3M expel film on them and they have been fine since. One sense does have a crack but the film keeps the moisture out.
