Default 2003 Trans Am

Has anyone seen or heard of a 03 T/A. A guy I work with says he used to own one, I called him a liar. He wants to bet $100 that he did. I know these cars went from 67-02, is there a chance GM let a few 03's slip out?

Had it not been for new NHTSA safety regulations going into effect for the 2003 model year, there might have been. But NO, 4th gen f-body production stopped in Aug 2002 and the last ones built are in GM's collection. There is ZERO chance GM "let some '03s slip out".

Now there was a show car T/A that had a shaker hood and made to look like a 2nd gen T/A that was dubbed a "2003 Trans Am", but it was just that, a show-car built on an earlier year car.

Take the man's money, quick before he reads this.

Yep - I've got pics of this car; concept only. They increased the displacement of the LS to 421 cubic inches too! It had a "421 SD" callout on the shaker. (Exactly 40 years after last 421 Super Duty was made!)

Tell him you'll give him a million dollars if he can prove it and he'll have to give you a million dollars if he can't. Get it notarized, prove him a liar, and then take him to court and garnish his wages for being such a dumb ***.

I wander if they sold them like they did some of their other museum vehicles back in '09 at the Barrett-Jackson auction

By the way, the white TA next to the last Firebird is what has been called the 2003 Trans Am. Both are now part of GM's Heritage Collection.
