Default 86 Trans Am Repainted

This thing was a nightmare, the silver i used was TRASH so i had to strip it down and re do it, so the wife said RED, so i said alright, see what i can do, the GMC with the 4.8 swap is going slow because of juggling this project with that one, but the car is done, the stripes i put on it set it off and the wife did not have a clue till today that it was painted, she thought i was just primering it for temporary, she nearly cried, so i did my job.

Was like this:

Then like this:

So went back to sanding and now she is finished, not perfect, but damn nice, needs wheels and a 4th gen rear spoiler and i will leave it alone...body wise:

Then i added a decal i have had for a long while:

Lacks a bit of clean up and that final touch, but i wanted the wife to be surprised.

Hope you guys can appreciate it.

Wow!! A basket case to a beautiful cruiser. Nice job! The 80's body styles are beautiful and when fixed up so nicely, a real head turner. Enjoy!
